 EFC e-newletter-April 2019-final_p1

Issue 1/2019, April 2019

Dear Readers,

Welcome to another edition of the EFC newsletter. This (electronic only) one is being published, as is traditional, on World Corrosion Day, 24th April.

Highlights include a report on the umbrella body that coordinates World activities, i.e. the World Corrosion Organisation, from its newly elected President Damien Féron, a letter from the EFC's new President Arjan Mol, and the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the EFC and China, a country that very much appreciates the need to combat corrosion and devotes considerable resources to it. In this respect, note the combined EFC and Chinese Society for Corrosion and Protection conference taking place in Chongqing (SW China) in October 2019. Also, the venue for the 2022 EUROCORR has been announced: the event will take place in Berlin.

We hope you enjoy reading this newsletter and we look forward to meeting many of you in Seville at EUROCORR 2019!
