New mentoring program launched for YoungEFC!
In the European Federation of Corrosion, between WP 7 on Education and the Young EFC team, we have started an initiative to develop a mentoring network. The aim is to support students and young professionals like yourself in your career development.
The mentoring program met with unanimous approval and full support of the EFC STAC at its meeting in Prague in September 2017. After some time defining and setting up the network, now we are ready!
The program has been officially lunched during the EUROCORR 2018 in Krakow.
In a nutshell, the purpose of the mentoring program is:
- To support young researchers, engineers, and students in their final years,
- By offering them one-to-one mentoring,
- By an experienced scientist or engineer,
- While bridging the gap between academia and industry.
With the final goal of career development in the corrosion discipline
In the following file (PDF) you can find more details about requirements to become a mentor or a mentee, and the general rules when participating in this program.
Looking forward to starting this new journey together with you,
