Mission

WP 22 aims to advance aerospace corrosion control by integrating scientific and industrial expertise, fostering collaborative research, and accelerating the implementation of innovative protection technologies. It serves as a platform linking academia and industry, supporting the development of joint European and international research initiatives, and promoting sustainability and digital transformation in corrosion protection for aeronautics.

Objectives for next 3 years

Promotion of collaboration between academia and the aerospace industry to address challenges in corrosion control and surface protection.

Integration of industrial and scientific needs in the development of research programmes and innovation activities.

Acceleration of the implementation of advanced corrosion protection technologies in aerospace applications.

Support for digital transformation in corrosion protection, contributing to sustainability and circularity in aeronautics.

Establishment of links with national, European and international research programmes and organisations in the field of aerospace corrosion.

Promotion and coordination of joint research initiatives and collaborative project proposals among WP22 members .

Support of networking activities and knowledge exchange within the WP22 community and across other EFC Working Parties.
