EFC Summer school - CORROSION IN GREEN ENERGY TECHNOLOGIES

Paris, France

EFC Event Event

Corrosion directly and indirectly impacts all societal infrastructures, including energy production. Energy transition challenges in terms of increased utilization and the drive for sustainability and reduced ecological impact requires development and longer service of green energy technologies. Understanding and managing the role of materials and systems degradation and material selection in green energy industries, environment, and society, becomes an even more urgent topic for the next generation of corrosion experts and industry professionals.

This school is a great opportunity for graduate students and post-docs from both, renewable energy technology and corrosion science, for further specialized training interfacing the principles of green energy technologies and corrosion science approaches.

Registration will open end of January. There are only 25 seats available.

More information available soon.

Corrosion performance of additively manufactured metals

EFC Event Event No. 512

This program prepared with academia and industry experts has a transverse approach designed to gather the actors involved in the corrosion performance in order to provide an opportunity for networking and learning more from each other.

It will cover topics related to the corrosion performance and other technical properties of additively manufactured metals (Stainless steel, alloys (Ni, Al, Cu, Ti)) in relation with the application conditions, including the post treatments. Furthermore, these performances will be put into perspective with the requirements as diverse as those in the nuclear, transport and also maritime sectors.

Monitored by Iris De Graeve and Reynier Revilla Castillo (Vrije Universiteit Brussel – VUB group of Electrochemical and Surface Engineering) as moderators, the webinar is scheduled with two sessions (AM & PM), 4 speakers per session.

Free independent registrations to both sessions
